Teacher for Adapted Upper Secondary School

Do you want to work in a school where relationships, safety, and development are at the center? Where teaching is genuinely adapted, and where you make a concrete difference in students' futures every day? Then this could be the role for you.

We are now looking for a teacher for an adapted upper secondary school – a role for someone who is stable, creative, and relationship-building, and who wants to make a difference together with students and colleagues in an engaged team.

YOUR ROLE

In the role of a teacher, you will plan, implement, and evaluate teaching based on the school's governing documents and the individual needs of the students. You will adapt the teaching to promote each student's knowledge development as well as their personal and social development, focusing on participation, structure, and clarity.

The teaching may include both subjects and subject areas depending on the conditions of the student group. You will create an accessible learning environment where students' learning and well-being are at the center, and where the teaching is designed in a way that makes knowledge understandable and meaningful.

You will work closely with a team consisting of teachers and teaching assistants as well as guardians and student health services to ensure that each student receives the support they need. You will also actively participate in the development work of the organization and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and educational school environment.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

You are a licensed primary school teacher with a focus on grades 4–6 or 7–9 and have a broad subject competence. It is an advantage if you have experience in teaching and feel confident in planning, implementing, and following up on teaching based on the various needs and conditions of the students.

You are comfortable with digital tools and use them as a natural support in both teaching and documentation. You communicate clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, and can easily adapt your way of expressing yourself so that every student is understood.

If you have competence and experience working with students with intellectual disabilities, autism, or other neuropsychiatric disabilities, that is an advantage. The same applies if you have knowledge of or experience with TAKK, sign language, or other alternative ways of communicating.

As a person, you are secure, flexible, and stable in your role. You are creative and solution-oriented, build relationships with both students and colleagues, and thrive in collaboration with other professionals around the student. You see opportunities even when conditions vary and contribute with calmness, engagement, and structure in everyday life.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

At the adapted upper secondary school, you will be part of an engaged and close-knit team that works together to create the best possible conditions for each student. Here, we truly make a difference – through relationships, collaboration, and a shared responsibility for students' development and well-being.

The adapted upper secondary school is part of Baldergymnasiet. Our operations are characterized by a holistic perspective where learning, personal development, and social community go hand in hand. Students are given the opportunity to develop both independently and together with others, and to use their knowledge in meaningful and practical contexts.

With us, you will meet colleagues who support each other, share knowledge, and work closely together to create a safe, accessible, and developing school environment – every day.

GOOD TO KNOW

We recruit based on competence and focus on your experience, knowledge, and potential. Instead of a personal letter, you will answer a few selection questions and attach an updated CV.
